Lunar video
JAXA, the Japanese space agency, released HD video footage of the moon, as viewed by it's Kaguya probe from lunar orbit. i think is the first such video since the Apollo program. very cool.

according to the Scotsman, New Scientists is reporting on a new warp drive (yes! a warp drive! like in Star Trek!) being suggested by some scientists. aparently, the US Air Force is interested. i picked it up at slashdot .
